1.5°CSG SUPPORTED ORGANIZATIONS COLLAB TO ACCELERATE CLIMATE ACTION
On February 29, 1.5°CSG donor supported organizations – UndauntedK12 and Forward Together Wisconsin’s Mandela Barnes – hosted a webinar to support teams involved in decision making for school construction and renovation projects with an understanding of how new federal funding, combined with local utility incentives, can be leveraged to inform long-term facilities planning well into the next decade. Through 1.5°CSG, we were able to connect these organizations to accelerate and amplify climate impact!
SUPPORT FIELD PROGRAMS THAT EDUCATE INDIVIDUALS IN BATTLEGROUNDS
1.5°CSG is actively interviewing organizations positioned to deploy educational door/phone/text/event and other field programs focused on educating individuals in electoral battlegrounds about opportunities to receive financial benefits provided by the Inflation Reduction Act, Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill, and other federal funds. Organizations interested in this funding opportunity should complete this intake form and schedule an interview with Greg Rock, 1.5°CSG Executive Director. Organizations selected by the 1.5°CSG steering committee will be invited to provide a virtual quick pitch presentation directly to the 1.5°CSG donor network, and 1.5°CSG will actively fundraise to generate an initial program budget in the range of $50-$200k. Additionally, selected organizations will gain access to Work Money’s enrollment resource center which is designed to support the back-end effort of successfully enrolling individuals for available financial benefits after your field program identifies interested parties. RSVP for our 3/26 meeting to learn how 1.5°CSG is helping expand access to Work Money’s resource center to numerous additional grassroots organizations.
INVESTING IN ELECTIONS FOR CLIMATE: DOWN BALLOT RACES IN KEY STATES
Please join us next Tuesday, March 12, to discuss “Moneyball Meets Climate Policy” from Caroline Spears, the Executive Director of Climate Cabinet, as well as Joshua Polacheck who is running for the Arizona Corporation Commision (ACC). Part of ACC’s mission is to ensure safe, reliable, and affordable utility services. This pitch presentation is part of our new Investing In Elections for Climate series. This strategy involves highlighting local candidates for their potential impact on climate issues while also mobilizing voters in key battleground states.
Thank you for your time and support of 1.5°CSG!
Regards,
