With the program set to expire in 2030, the oil industry is doing everything it can to weaken the reauthorization progress. Meanwhile, frontline communities continue to bear the brunt of pollution and climate-driven disasters. As the legislature works to extend the program through 2045, environmental justice advocates are mobilizing to ensure that equity, not industry influence, shapes California’s clean energy future. Funds raised will support additional resources for a communications campaign led by environmental justice advocates.
