Since launching in 2022, the 1.5°Climate Strategies Group has hosted over 100 organizational quick pitch presentations to which 1.5°CSG members, and match providers, have contributed over $30 million. The donor collaborative’s work so far has been focused on two presentation series.

The 1.5°CSG quick pitch stage has seen presentations on a number of different sub-topics including: State & Local Climate Action, Climate Finance, Investigative Reporting, Solution Based Reporting, Battleground States & Districts, Field Programs, Senate Races, Presidential Battlegrounds, House Races, Messaging & Paid Media, Racial Equity Investments, Down Ballot Races, Coordination, Collaboration & Technical Assistance, Red State Investments.

Membership is free, and gains you access to our research repository of org “pitch cards” including quick-links to their video presentations, pitch-decks, project narratives, due diligence docs, verified contribution instructions and the 1:1 matching funds we arrange for most presenting organizations. 

Highlighted organizations are selected through a rigorous process involving staff-led research involving hundreds of interviews after which the most catalytic, gap filling, and high impact opportunities are elevated to the 1.5°CSG steering committee for consideration and final selection. 

In Q1 of 2025 1.5°CSG is focused on advancing climate action through State Legislative action. Members are invited to join us for bi-weekly quick pitch presentations starting January 14th, 2025 to learn about organizations doing high impact climate work at the State level.
