Discussion Listserv Member Posting Policy

The 1.5°CSG member discussion listserv (climate-strategy-group@googlegroups.com) is offered to our members as an optional way to distribute messages en masse. Members can unsubscribe or switch to daily digest mode at any time by visiting groups.google.com without affecting their receipt of 1.5°CSG event notifications and other official communications.

If you plan to use this discussion listserv, please follow these basic rules:

1. 1. No fundraising asks – 1.5°CSG and its committee carefully vet fundraising opportunities before presenting them to our members. The discussion forum is not a place to bypass that vetting process with a direct email pitch to 1.5°CSG members.
   2. No invitations to fundraising events – If you have an in-person fundraising event that you would like circulated to members in a specific geography, reach out to greg@onepointfiveclimate.org about potential distribution.
   3. Professional Decorum – Treat the virtual space of the listserv as a professional setting: discussions should avoid name-calling, threats, and dismissive responses. Readers may disagree or challenge statements but should avoid hostility toward the original poster. To emphasize: for all postings, writers should presume that the audience is the entire list and not just the person originating the discussion. If a reader cannot respond without personalizing, they should direct their message to the individual in question rather than posting to the listserv.

Messages posted by 1.5°CSG members on the listserv do not reflect the opinions or positions of 1.5°Climate, LLC, its employees, Advisory Board, or Steering Committees.
